Auctiva Commerce Storefronts Give eBay Sellers Another Alternative
By Loretta Boyle of CraftCycler.com
As a long time provider of free software, templates, image hosting, insurance and portals to eBay sellers, Auctiva has finally decided to take the leap into providing ecommerce storefronts directly. While the name may not be familiar to eBay buyers, Auctiva has been wowing sellers with a multitude of free services since 1998. Most buyers will have encountered Auctiva powered listings, with their scrolling image galleries and super-sized images, even if they do not fully understand the services that Auctiva provides to eBay sellers. As the contingent of unsatisfied eBay sellers has grown daily throughout 2008, Auctiva has moved to respond to the current environment and has come up with a platform that will allow merchants to quickly and easily develop independent web stores. Scheduled to launch on January 20, 2009, Auctiva has promised not only a simple user interface, but also marketing tools and services that will bring in the buyers, two things that often make creating a stand-alone store an insurmountable task for small sellers. Offering features that are often only found on much more expensive platforms, Auctiva will also be offering two free months of services to sellers who are interested. Additionally, Auctiva brings with them their excellent customer service reputation. As a site where you can throw a question out on the forum and often have it answered within minutes by the CEO, Auctiva is known by their current customers as being highly responsive to customer problems, needs and requests. Online auctions will not be offered during the initial launch, but Auctiva has not ruled out the possibility. How does this impact you if you are not a seller? Well, as eBay continues to shake things up, more and more sellers are saying good-bye to the site. With so many long-term sellers anxious to find another venue to sell their wares, many of the one-of-a-kind items and personalized services that buyers have come to enjoy are disappearing. Sellers are jumping ship and landing in far-flung places. Auctiva Commerce Storefronts may be the answer to what is sure to be a much repeated questions in 2009: "Where did my favorite eBay seller go?" For sellers looking for information on the upcoming launch: Auctiva Commerce Storefront Information For buyers, try contacting your favorite seller directly to see if they will be offering an Auctiva Ecommerce Storefront or CLICK HERE to view some of the sellers who will be on board January 20. |
